Is It Time for a Sump Pump Replacement?

It would be nice if your sump pump could send you a text message or email when it’s time for it to be replaced. “Hey buddy, I’m out of here. You need to call for backup!” Of course, your sump pump can’t text you, but it can give you some signs that it’s time for a sump pump replacement.

sump pump replacement

  • It Goes On and Off a Lot- Your sump pump should turn on to get the job done and then turn back off. If it keeps going on and off, it might be too small for the amount of water that comes its way. We can come out and see if you need a sump pump replacement or if you just need a repair.
  • It Stays On for a Long Time- Your sump pump should be able to plow through the water it receives relatively quickly. If it seems like it is on forever, it’s because it can’t keep up. In this case, you likely need a sump pump replacement so you can get one with more power.
  • It’s Loud- Your sump pump should emit a low hum. If it makes a loud noise when it runs, it’s likely having some issues with the motor. While you can look for a quick fix for this, it is really better to go with a sump pump replacement. Once you have motor issues, it’s best to just put the old sump pump down and get something new.

If you need a sump pump replacement, our team at Southeastern Septic, LLC can help. We can install your new sump pump and put you on a maintenance schedule so it will last for the long haul.
